
We translated sound and sculpture into a fragrance for the Museum of Pop Culture.
The brief
Museum of Pop Culture came to us with a bold idea: create a signature scent inspired by their iconic 50-foot sculpture, an awe-inspiring installation constructed from more than 500 electric guitars. The piece is a tribute to sound, creativity, and cultural impact—so the fragrance needed to capture that same energy and edge.
To begin the process, they uploaded a photograph of the sculpture into our AI-powered scent design tool, translating its striking colors, materials, and attitude into an olfactory concept.

The formula
Our Olfactory Intelligence transformed the visual inspiration into a bold, modern fragrance blueprint, capturing the sculpture’s scale and electric energy. Master perfumer Christophe Laudamiel then used this AI-generated foundation to craft the final formula, refining it into a distinctive, fully realized signature scent.

Electric Harmony
This bold fragrance captured the vibrant energy of 500 electric guitars. Bright citrus and metallic accords resonate through a luminous white floral heart. Deep oud, amber, and patchouli form a rich, comforting base, evoking cultural evolution and the textures of sound with a mineral twist. It is a modern symphony.

The result
The fragrance made its public debut for MOPOP’s 25th anniversary in summer 2025. Available for purchase in the museum gift shop, Electric Harmony adds a distinctive new layer to the visitor experience, transforming it into something both memorable and multi-sensory.
For MOPOP, this fragrance was both a celebration of legacy and a strategic extension of their brand. It was a way to:
• Turn space into experience: Visitors and community members can now carry home a piece of the museum, with a beautifully crafted and timeless memento.
• Expand product offerings: This custom scent opened the door to many other possible products like candles, diffusers, and more.
• Generate revenue and brand equity: More than just merch—Electric Harmony is art, created through the uncharted medium of scent.
• Reach new audiences: People far beyond Seattle can now experience the spirit of MOPOP in a completely new way. The scent offers an immersive connection—bottling its pulse for anyone, anywhere.
