We translated a horror film into an olfactory experience.
The brief
The team behind Dream Eater came to us with a chilling idea: create an exclusive fragrance inspired by the psychological tension and haunting atmosphere of the film - the scent of a nightmare. Designed as a limited-edition release for October 2025, the scent needed to capture the feeling of cold dread creeping through darkness—the sensory experience of a nightmare unfolding in real time.
To begin the process, visual references, emotional cues, and cinematic atmosphere from the film were translated through Osmo’s Olfactory Intelligence into an olfactory concept. Frigid air, metallic blood, damp earth, and shadowy tension became the foundation for a fragrance designed to feel unsettling, immersive, and impossible to forget.
The formula
Our Olfactory Intelligence transformed the film’s psychological tension and atmospheric world into a dark fragrance blueprint—capturing frozen air, metallic accords, and damp green textures with cinematic precision. Perfumers then refined the AI-generated structure into a fully realized composition designed to evoke suspense, unease, and the feeling of stepping directly into a nightmare.
Endless Night
This haunting fragrance opens with an icy burst of cold ozone, sharp and atmospheric like frozen midnight air. Metallic accords cut through the composition with an eerie tension, while damp green notes evoke wet earth, shadowed forests, and the lingering chill of fear. Dark, mineral textures cling to the skin, creating a scent that feels cinematic, unsettling, and deeply immersive. It is the smell of dread taking form.
The result
Released as a limited-edition collaboration for the film premiere in October 2025, the fragrance transformed the world of Dream Eater into an immersive olfactory experience—blurring the line between fiction and reality.
