We translated the essence of Puglia into fragrance using Olfactory Intelligence.
The brief
DSCENE came to us with a bold idea: create an exclusive fragrance for Art Basel inspired by Coco Burn’s immersive installation, Terra Aura. Rooted in the landscapes and memories of Puglia, the work evokes wind sweeping through wild herbs, sun-warmed terrain, and the quiet intensity of coastal air—so the fragrance needed to capture that same sense of place, atmosphere, and emotion.
To begin the process, we translated the installation’s visual and sensory world into an olfactory concept using Osmo’s Olfactory Intelligence. Notes of dry jasmine, resin, salt, and sunlit air were mapped and composed to reflect the terrain—transforming landscape into scent, and memory into a fragrance that could be experienced beyond the installation itself.

The formula
Our Olfactory Intelligence transformed the installation’s landscapes and sensory cues into a refined fragrance blueprint—capturing the movement of spring wind, the warmth of sunlit terrain, and the mineral edge of coastal air. Master perfumers then built upon this AI-generated foundation, shaping notes of wild herbs, dry jasmine, salt, and resin into a fully realized composition—translating atmosphere into a distinctive, transportive signature scent.

VENTO
This evocative fragrance captures the windswept landscapes of Puglia—sun, salt, and memory suspended in air. Bright lemon and green stem open with a crisp, airy freshness, unfolding into a textured heart of lavender, white florals, and herbal facets softened by a subtle cherry almond warmth. A base of powdery musks, sweet balsamic depth, and mineral accords lingers on the skin, echoing coastal terrain and sun-warmed earth. It is a living landscape, translated into scent.

The result
The fragrance debuted in Art Basel Miami Beach, where it brought the spirit of Puglia to life through scent during Miami’s most influential week in art - Art Basel.
